I’m a recent grad of UNC Greensboro’s Parks and Recreation Management master’s program and have transitioned into the realm of therapeutic recreation. I currently live in Harrisonburg, VA, home of James Madison University – my undergrad alma mater – Go Dukes!
My focus is the facilitation of inclusive practices into recreation programs via the implementation of universal design. In a nutshell, I help others with recreation and adventure to increase health and wellness. Think about your life; what would you do if it was all work and no play? (hint: it’d be awful.)
I broke my neck (alpine skiing) and suffered a spinal cord injury in ’99; consequently I have a lot of life experience with physical disability. Additionally, my wife (Sarah) is an Occupational Therapist and focuses on environmental accessibility and personal independence. Together we might just take over the world. Unlikely, but who knows.
